We have done a lot of character meals at Walt Disney World. Most of them blur together after a while. Topolino's Terrace breakfast is the one my whole family still talks about.
This is the Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends, served on the top floor of Disney's Riviera Resort, and it quietly became the best dining experience we have had on property. Not just the best character meal. The best meal, period, once you add up the food, the service, and the time the characters actually spend with your kids.
Here is exactly what we ate, what it cost, who showed up at the table, and why I would send any family straight there.
What is breakfast at Topolino's Terrace?
Topolino's Terrace breakfast is a character dining experience called Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends, served on the top floor of Disney's Riviera Resort. You get a prix fixe meal, four characters dressed as artists, and views out over EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios.
The Riviera is one of Disney's deluxe resorts, and Topolino's sits up on the rooftop level of the tower. The room is bright in the morning, the scenery is beautiful, and the whole thing feels a step calmer than a meal inside a crowded park. You are eating breakfast above Walt Disney World, which is a nice way to start a day before you ever tap into a park.
How much does Topolino's Terrace breakfast cost?
As of the October 2026 price increase, Topolino's Terrace breakfast is $59 per adult and $39 per child ages 3 to 9, before tax and gratuity. Children under 3 eat free.

When we went, the five of us came out right around $200 total, and that included the tip. Those per-person prices have ticked up since our visit, so build in a little cushion when you plan. One thing that helped us: my youngest, Mia, is under 3, so she ate free. She just picked off her older siblings' plates, which is a nice perk of that age. If your little one is under 3, you are not paying for them at all.
What is on the Topolino's Terrace breakfast menu?
The menu is prix fixe, so everyone picks one entree and a shared pastry basket comes to the table for the whole group. The adult entrees run from a quiche Gruyère and an Eggs Benedict Florentine to a wild mushroom scramble, two eggs any style, an avocado and smoked salmon toast, and the steak and eggs.

I went with the steak and eggs. Filet, scrambled eggs, a mushroom puree that I honestly still cannot fully describe, and some of the best potatoes I have had anywhere on property. My wife ordered the avocado and smoked salmon toast and loved it, and it came with a couple of sides.

The kids got the Mickey Waffle Dippers, and this is where Topolino's shows off. Most restaurants hand you a plain Mickey Mouse waffle and call it a day. Not these guys. The waffle comes on a stick, so your kid holds it like a lollipop, and it arrives with three dipping sauces on the side. Caramel, chocolate, and a third one none of us could name, but all of us kept reaching for. No mess, no syrup disaster, no meltdown. Each kid's meal comes with two sides, so mine went with fruit and bacon, and one of them added scrambled eggs.
Which characters are at Topolino's Terrace breakfast?
Topolino's Terrace breakfast features Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Daisy Duck, all in artist-inspired costumes that match the resort's European theme. Mickey is the artist, Minnie the poet, Donald the sculptor, and Daisy the ballet dancer.

This is also where the meal separated itself from every other character breakfast we have done, and it is the one thing I would tell any other restaurant to copy. The characters take their time. This is not Chef Mickey's, where you get a quick wave, a photo, and they are gone to the next table. At Topolino's, Mickey came over, gave a real hug, posed for pictures, and actually hung around. My kid handed him a sticker, and the whole table was laughing. These characters cannot talk to you, so everything happens through their expressions and their body language, and they are so good at it that you almost feel like you know them by the end of the meal.
I would put the average at three to five minutes per character, per table. Stack that across Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy, and your kids are getting real time with each one instead of an assembly line.
How do you get a reservation at Topolino's Terrace?
Book early. Topolino's Terrace breakfast reservations open up to 60 days in advance through Disney's dining reservation system, and they are some of the harder ones to land at Walt Disney World.
Set a reminder for your 60-day mark and check the My Disney Experience app right when the window opens. If you miss it, keep checking back, because reservations shuffle constantly as other guests adjust their plans and spots open up. Breakfast is a one table-service credit meal if you are on a Disney Dining Plan. The dinner at Topolino's is a separate Signature experience with no characters, so if you are after Mickey and the crew, breakfast is the one you want.
Is Topolino's Terrace breakfast worth it?
Yes. If you only do one character meal on your trip, I would make it Topolino's Terrace. For us, it was a 10 out of 10 on food, service, atmosphere, and character interaction, and getting all four of those in one room is rare.
It is fair to go in clear-eyed. It is not a cheap breakfast; the reservations take some effort, and you have to get yourself over to the Riviera, which you can reach on the Disney Skyliner. None of that changed the math for us. You are paying for quality food and for characters who treat your kids like the whole point of the morning, and that is worth it. If you run a restaurant and you feel like you have not quite figured out the guest experience yet, go eat at Topolino's Terrace and copy everything they are doing.

Final Thoughts
Plenty of restaurants can plate a nice breakfast. Fewer can make a family of five feel looked after for an entire morning. Topolino's Terrace does both, and it does them at the same time.
We left talking about the food, the view, and the fact that Mickey actually sat with us. That is the bar now. If you are trying to decide where to spend one character meal on your next Disney trip, this is the easy answer.
